For final-year students, HKU X organizes workshops and consults in which…

  • ..you will learn to define how you and your project create value.
  • ..you will meet makers from other study programmes.
  • ..you will learn to explain your added value outside the bubble of your own study programme.
  • ..you will learn from last year’s graduates how they created (and captured) value in and outside the arts.

1. WHAT AM I WORTH?

2 hour workshop

  • What does the word ‘value’ mean to you? Joint exploration of the different ways you and your project create value.
  • Brief introduction to different ways of creating value as a creative professional (creator, designer or artist)
  • Exploring the balance between your individual makership, your value for other makers, social value and economic value.
  • HKU alumni share how they were of value inside and outside the arts after graduation.

2. WHAT AM I WORTH?

Consultation of 1 hour, physical or online

In addition to the workshop we offer individual consultations for up to 4 final-year students at a time. Together we will identify the value of you as a maker, your graduation project and how you can create value after graduation.

Do you have specific questions about a business topic? Or not yet graduated? The business desk of HKU X is available for all current students and alumni. You can register for consultation hours within one of the following themes.
